Before you ask, no. I don't want to use journals as a platform to vent anymore. It's stupid and annoying and it makes people feel that I'm irritating and childish and whiny, even if its not deliberate.

Anyway, its time to talk about yaoi and yuri.

As you all know, yaoi/yuri is a genre of (Japanese) gay/lesbian porn, usually portrayed in mangas.

But do you know that there are people who despise real life homosexual couples, but adore yaoi/yuri?

Hypocritical eh?

This is an example A Happily Ever After... by TheLadyJ (you'd have to click on it and read the description to fully understand the situation)
I'm sure there are a LOT more examples from our miserable hypocrites. It ain't really hard to find some comments lyin around.

Anyway, time for my views.

I know somehow that I don't really like yaoi/yuri even though I 100% support homosexuality(I mean c'mon, does true love require man and woman?), but I can't explain why.

Until this really kind lady :iconpinkbluebibliofreak:'s works led me to another person's work Gay by gossywings , and from there I found what I really felt about yaoi/yuri.

"I don't support Yaoi, I think it fetishizes gay men and gay relationships. It objectifies gay men to serve other people's fantasies, mainly heterosexual females."

So...
:thumb348225408:

:3

With that being said, before you protest, I just wanna say that I generally don't appreciate stories that
1. don't have a good plot
2. very artificial, underdeveloped, gary/mary sue like personalities
3. underdeveloped relationships(to the eyes of the reader), especially romance wise(kinda like fanshipping after seeing 2 seconds of them looking at each other or something)

So no, I'm not much of a heterosexual genre supporter or homosexual genre hater either, unless all these points don't exist in the plot. In other words, if the story is perfect, characters are very developed, personalities are very real, then I'll sure as hell appreciate the particular story that contains homosexual genre(shojo ai/shonen ai). [Unfortunately I've seen enough underdeveloped yaoi/yuri to even want to read anymore. Kinda like me not ever wanting to watch Sailor Moon ripoffs cus its the same underdeveloped plot and overly romantic with no character development, cept that it has no sex scenes, which makes it less unbearable and traumatizing.]

Problem is, I'm totally unable to appreciate yaoi/yuri due to the fact that most of them are just sex scenes, and I pretty much feel uncomfortable being involved as an audience(a lot of yaoi/yuri I've seen have the 3 points in them too). Yaoi/yuri are just fetishes, and different people have different fetishes.

Of course, I can't generalise the fangirls/fanboys. Some fangirls do irritate me and like to throw that kinda stuff all over my eyes, but I have a yaoi fangirl as a friend and she's simply just too amazing.
Which reminds me!
:thumb324628457: How To Write YaoiToday, we're going to show you how to write The Greatest Thing to ever happen evar.
Yaoi. Since it's a known fact that all female characters are vastly inferior to the male ones, none of them are suitable to be shipped with a male character. In fact, they can all go lez in a corner. No.  This is going to be about yaoi. The greatest thing to evar happen evar of all time. Because we could never let a woman soil the true and pure love between a man and another man. And nothing is more sacred than that.
1. Tops and Bottoms As a rule, all yaoi couples must have a certified top and bottom (or uke and seme for you Japan types). NO EXCEPTIONZ1111!! You're either top. Or bottom. Period. The end. No exceptions. That's how all relationships work. And if you're relationship isn't like that, then there's probably something wrong with you. Or you're a woman. Then there's definitely something w

Another reason why... sad to say, yaoi... makes me facepalm on the desk. Makes me barf, makes me feel pretty much disgusted. I know I shouldn't let fangirl's opinions affect me, but its been all over the internet, long enough for me to... what the fuck.

Conclusion? I don't like yaoi/yuri, but mainly due to the factors that make it... unlikable for me.
Again this is my own opinion. Everyone has their own opinions and I respect theirs. Just no bashing/conflict. I don't like that.

Sorry if you had to read again to understand lol

before I end this off, I just wanna say to myself "Just one more year Ted.... One more year... before these gender stuff tone down by a million fold... one more year.........."

While, your views are indeed your own. I'm finding it kinda hard to understand where you're fitting my -Happily Ever After- piece, in your argument.

If you could please explain, that'd be great.

it's not really part of my argument, its more like stating a separate fact about how some people look at the topic. Sorry.

But are you using it in a positive or negative way? Also, if you use a piece in a journal, its just nice to let the original creator know.

The picture was actually not related to the topic I was talking about, just the person that invoked you to create the masterpiece.

Alright, I'll take note of that.

Btw regarding the last post u posted.
Let me tell u a story. There was once this artist who did a masterpiece. She stripped naked at the museum and put a gun, a knife next to her table. She told people that she wont move for six hours and thy can do whatever they want with her.
At first thy didnt dare to, but soon more visitors started to assault her. Some held a gun next to her. And she got badly cut up. But she still didnt move.
6 hours passed and she got up. The visitors finally backed away.

The artist said this
"this is to show how people can take advantage of others who do not take action to stop anyone. It also shows true human's despicable nature"

You NEED to shoe her whos boss josie. Stand up for yourself. This is your own war and you NEED to win it, or shell bully you to no end.

Yeah. Found it on fb. I think i shared it. Look for it in my profile.

Regarding what youre gonna do, i dont mind if u do that. Just NEVER apologize. She wont feel sorry with an apology and instead will bully u even more. Being nice to her is enough.

But its more effective standing up for youself (in a nice way of c). More impact on getting into her little pig brain.

That generally is true, but yaoi/yuri doesn't always fetishize it, only the crappy ones do.

But each to his own, eh?

I admit I haven't seen enough yaoi/yuri, but I've seen enough(and heard from a LOT of the fangirls about it for yaoi) to not appreciate them.

Theo, this is fangirls we're talking about. Everything they say is about 75-90% out of proportions. Of course, the you have fangirls like me who say it like it is for about 90% (we all have our moments where we go insane). But if you don't like them, that's ok too.
